As required by the Bar Council of India Rules, First Precedent states as follows.

1. Not a Law Firm

First Precedent is not a law firm. It is a legal research unit operating as a unit of Bahali Investment Group LLP. It does not hold an enrolment as an advocate or a certificate of practice from any Bar Council.

2. No Legal Advice

The work product produced by First Precedent — including research memoranda, case summaries, statutory analyses, and all other deliverables — constitutes legal research and analysis. It does not constitute legal advice within the meaning of the Advocates Act, 1961 or the Bar Council of India Rules.

The work product supports the professional judgment of a licensed practitioner. It does not replace that judgment, and First Precedent does not hold itself out as providing any service that may only be provided by an enrolled advocate.

3. No Appearance in Court

First Precedent does not appear in court, before any tribunal, or before any regulatory or statutory authority. All court appearances, filings, and advocacy remain the exclusive responsibility of the instructing practitioner.

5. Reliance
